Charleston City Rowing Club

Welcome to Charleston’s premiere group-rowing organization.  We are a proud group of rowing enthusiasts comprised of seasoned experts and novices, ranging from high school students to business professionals, who enjoy sharing the sport we love with our community. Consider becoming a part of this unique group.

 

How You Could Fit In

1. Are you a youth with little or no rowing or coxing experience?
Visit our Learn to Row page for introductory information about this sport.  On this page, you can register to begin your training in the Learn to Row course.  Upon completion, become a member of the competitive Youth Crew as a rower or coxswain.

2. Are you an adult with little or no rowing or coxing experience?
Visit our Learn to Row page for introductory information about this sport.  On this page, you can register to begin your training in the Learn to Row course.  Upon completion, become a member of the competitive Master Crew as a rower or coxswain.

3. Are you a youth with rowing or coxing experience?
Visit our Youth Rower page to learn more about our program. On this page, you can register to become a member of the competitive Youth Crew.

4. Are you an adult with rowing or coxing experience?

We will be learning sweep rowing techniques in an Olympic-styled eight person shell. This event is open to all Charleston residents
Saturday, Feb. 24, 9-3
Saturday, March 10, 9-3
Sunday, March 11, 8-noon
at BrittleBank Park on Lockwood Drive; Plan to stay all day, we will be doing some land training, boat orientation, and dock rowing before we push off the dock.

All participants MUST be able to tread water and/or swim and feel comfortable on the water.

Meet at Brittlebank Park. Wear shorts, tee shirt, tennis shoes and socks. Bring water and a snack or lunch. We look forward to rowing with you!

Adult Spring Learn to Row Camp
